SC. Carpatex S.A. Brasov-Romania - Short History

S.C. CARPATEX S.A. is one of the oldest and famous textile company in Romanian wool fabrics field, wellknown in the textile world.The company was founded in 1823 as the first textile mill in Brasov county.
Gradually, the company is constantly develop and the range of fabrics increased; therefor in 1880 year was the greatest and modern textile factory in East Europe.
The wool fabrics were exported on European and Asian markets, followed by worldwide recognizes and appreciates as "BRASSOVA CLOTH".
The high quality of fabrics was awarded with almost 100 medals received at International Exhibitions and Fairs.

The company has a full production line - woollen spinning mill, - weaving - finishing and ready made garments that was modernized since 1990 and allows us to obtain the best quality of fabrics at international competitive standards, guarantee by ISO 9002/1995.
